Opening the Second Acong's Gift Box

After waiting patiently for 4 Atlantica Days to happen, and receiving my 40 Atlantica Day Coupons, finally I put my hand on the infamous Second Acong's Gift Box.

I must say the result was not as bad as it could have been, but it is still far from the expected result.

I can't imagine the happiness of the players who spent their hard-earned money on the first Atlantica Day to buy stuff from IM just to be able to grab this "amazingly" box! (Yes, it is sarcasm!).

Bellow the video of my box being opened. It is in slow motion in the "random items" part.

Remember that the box list is not decided on the game itself. Here is how I think it works:
  1. You open the box and the Atlantica Online Game Client (client) send to the Atlantica Online Game Server (server) a request for the result for the "random" box.
  2. The server sum on a database table the internal average value of all items already distributed to all the players who opened that kind of box and compare it with the value stablished for the box:
    1. If the average is higher than the box value, the system select one item among the junk items. This junk items have around 80% value of the random box value.
    2. If the average is equal or lower than the random box value, the system select one item among the good items. This good items have a very high value when compared with the random box value, like 10 times for mount boxes or 5 times for cloth boxes.
    3. Example: junk items worth 8 points, random boxes worth 10 points, and good items worth from 50 to 100 points.
    4. The average is calculated for the past 24 hours, or reset once per day.
  3. The server now sends the "random" item to the client, to be show to the player.
Enjoy your time here :D
